JSNVisa Global Design asked me to build its first crypto design team. The objective was to take crypto out of the shadows and make it trustworthy and accessible to every person on the planet.
After hiring three talented designer/crypto zealots, I led our team as a player/coach to co-create concepts with Visa Crypto Labs Product team.
Over three years we designed and prototyped more than a dozen innovative crypto payment payment flows, features, products and platforms, including non-custodial wallets, stablecoin use cases, a risk management tool and new uses for popular blockchains.
We balanced innovation with security, regulatory, and user-trust constraints and tested our concepts extensively with every day users.
Our design groundwork helped cultivate Visa's publicly-announced initiatives, including:
- USDC settlements on VisaNet
- Open USD – a consortium of over 140 other companies (including Visa, Mastercard, and Coinbase)
- Visa's support for nine different blockchains
